Wierchy is one of the leading tourist offices organizing active holidays in the southern Poland and the Polish mountains.

We have the pleasure to introduce to you the offer of active leisure in Poland. Our Programme focuses on the regions of Małopolska and the Polish Carpathians. In the most of our itineraries we plan at least one day in Kraków, the unique city of rich history and culture. What is more, the location of the city is convenient for activities in various parts of the Carpathians, the Beskidy Mountains and the Tatras. That is why we made it the starting and finishing point for all our trips. An additional advantage is an airport – Kraków Balice close to the city-centre.

Our office has been created by the PTTK (Polish Tourist Country-Explorers’ Association), which is a nongovermental organization associating tourists and country admirers. PTTK is one of the oldest tourist organizations in Europe. The beginnings of this association reach the end of XIX century. The original aims of it’s members were the popularization and protection of the Polish mountains. The first volunteers of this organization marked the first mountain paths in the Tatras and the Beskidy, built the first mountain shelters. As a result of their commitment Poland has now one of the best mountain paths and shelters system among the Carpathian countries.

We want to continue the primary goals of this organization. Our aim is to show you the beauty of our mountains and enable to you spending your free time there.
