Beskid Sądecki and the Pieniny National Park
Nowy Sącz region means the picturesque mountains cut through by the valley of the Poprad – the river has its source in the feet of Slovac Tatra peaks. Beskid Sadecki is the mountain range which summits exceed 1100m and is surrounded by numerous healthresorts. Here you can see Orthodox churches, still present Lemkos’ culture and from the mountains’ peaks you get breathtaking views over the Tatra Mountains ragged ridges. On the route there are also the Pieniny Mountains with their eye catching lime uplifts. In this region The Pieniny National Park was founded. Pieniny house also the scenic Dunajec River Gorge.

Day 1 arrival to Cracow (plane, train), transfer to Krynica, walk up to Jaworzyna Krynicka <2h30’>

Day 3 Rytro – Niemcowa – Wielki Rogacz (1172m) – Prehyba Meadow – PTTK Prehyba Hostel (1191m) <5h30’>
Day 4 Prehyba Meadow – Szczawnica <3h> – chair-lift ride to Palenica – Palenica – PTTK Orlica Hostel
Day 5 Szczawnica – Pieniny Way – Cerveny Klastor – Szczawnica – PTTK Orlica Hostel <6h30’>
Day 6 Szczawnica – Sokolica (747m) – Trzy Korony (982m) – Kosarzyska – Sromowce Niżne – PTTK Trzy Korony Hostel <5h20’>
Day 7 Sromowce Niżne – Szopka Pass (780m) – Czorsztyn – Niedzica – transfer Sromowce Niżne – PTTK Trzy Korony Hostel <4h>
Day 8 transfer to Cracow, tour of Cracow, transfer to the airport / railway station

Notes: due to have a guided tour of Cracow we suggest to have the return plane/train ticket reserved for the afternoon. It is also possible to buy an additional night in Cracow on 8 / 9 day of the trip.
