Bieszczady – at the edge of the world
The Bieszczady brings to mind extensive Połoniny from which vast views unfold, only found in this region. Long mountain ranges with alpine meadows called “Połoniny” also unique for Poland, are the most characteristic landscape feature. In the Połoniny you can feel the space and value the beauty of the Bieszczady and other mountains ranges of the vicinity. In this remote and charming corner of Poland the cultural presence of Lemkos (the region’s inhabitants) can still be felt — numerous forgotten orthodox churches, cemeteries and synagogues. During the travel through Przemyski Upland in Sanok you will be taken to The Ethnographic Park where the rich collection of icons can be admired. In addition to this programme we plan a sightseeing tour of Cracow — the capital of the Lesser Poland, the magic city with rich history and culture.

Itinerary: 15 May – 15 October
Day 1 arrival to Cracow (plane / train / car), transfer to guest rooms, the afternoon guided tour of the Old Town
Day 2 transfer to Cisna (PTTK Hostel Pod Honem), on the way (possible to realize with rented car): the
open-air ethnographic museum in Sanok, historic orthodox churches
Day 3 Cisna — Jasło (1153m) — Okrąglik — Fereczata (1102m) — Wetlina PTTK Mountain Hotel <6h20’>
Day 4 Wetlina — Połonina Wetlińska Alpine meadow (1253m) — Połonina Caryńska Alpine meadow (1297m)

Day 5 transfer: Ustrzyki Górne — Wyżniańska Pass (855m) a hike: Mała Rawka — Wielka Rawka (1307m) — Kremenaros (1221m) — Ustrzyki Górne <5h>
Day 6 transfer: Ustrzyki Górne — Wołosate a hike: Rozsypaniec (1280m) — Halicz — Tarnica (1346m) — Szeroki Wierch (1293m) — Ustrzyki Górne <6h35’>
Day 7 transfer to Cracow, guest rooms
Day 8 transfer to the airport

Notes: 1.Guided tour of Cracow can be made on the last day, except the day of arrival. The day of the guided tour depends on the time of arrival and departure.
2.Itinerary may be slightly different before the season (15th May — 30th June) and after the season (1sth of September — 15th October) — depends on the train and bus schedule.
