Cracow and the Tatra Mountains

Cracow and the Tatra Mountains

Cracow, the royal town — the former capital of Poland and the residential place of the monarchs, is one of the most attractive spots on the tourist map of Europe. The Old Town has been put on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is the unique place where history, legends and monuments coexist harmoniously with the present time. The programme also consists of a visit in The Salt Mine in Wieliczka — one of the oldest mines in the world which is still available for visitors. On the way to Zakopane — The Wooden Architecture Route. The following days of the trip are designated for some hikes in the Tatra Mountains National Park and Dunajec River Gorge rafting in the Pieniny National Park. The gorge, leading through the mountain range which is the natural border with Slovakia is considered to be the most beautiful among others in Europe. The night accommodation was booked in the very heart of Zakopane in PTTK Hostel.
