The Tatra Mountains

The Tatra are the highest Polish mountain range, their summits exceed the height of 2000m above sea level. The Tatra mountains have alpine character; it was caused by Pleistocene glacial period: deep valleys, steep faces, peaks and ridges. In the Western Tatra numerous terrestrial forms (caves, hollows). The main valleys: Sucha Woda Valley, Białka Valley (The High Tatra), Kościeliska Valley, Chochołowska Valley (The Western Tatra); numerous lakes (approximately 120, on Polish territory 43) popularly called the ponds, the biggest are Morskie Oko, Wielki Staw. Here you can see the chamois hopping on rocks, hear the marmots and listen to the stories about highland robbers. During this program accommodation will be booked in PTTK mountain hostels in the Tatra National Park.

Day 3 transfer to Wierch Poroniec — Rusinowa Glade (1210m) — Gęsia Szyja (1490m) — Rówień Waksundzka — Wodogrzmoty Mickiewicza (1100m) — PTTK Hostel in Roztoka Valley <4h>

Day 4 PTTK Hostel in Roztoka Valley — Morskie Oko (1406m) — Czarny Staw pod Rysami (1585m) — Pięć Stawów Valley (1672m) PTTK Hostel <5h30’>

Day 5 Pięć Stawów Valley — Zawrat (2158m)— Czarny Staw Gąsienicowy (1637m) — Murowaniec (1500m) — Skupniów Upłaz — Kuźnice — Kalatówki PTTK Mountain Hotel <6h>

Day 6 transfer: Kuźnice — Kiry a walking trip: Kiry — Dolina Kościeliska — Mroźna Cave, Cracow Gorge — Ornak Meadow (1108m) — Iwaniacka Pass(1459m) — Chochołowska Valley <6h> transfer to Cracow, Guest house

Day 7 a guided tour of Cracow (option for groups); farewell diner; Guest house

Day 8 transfer to the airport
